Wolf Pack Beach Fundraiser
An idea was presented to me by a parent who probably wants to remain nameless (thanks Joe Lane!!!). The idea was for a Beach Fundraiser that would pair a volleyball player with someone in their family to play 2-on-2 beach volleyball. I think it’s a great idea so we’re gonna do it. It will take place on Saturday, August 7th from 9am-Noon at Clearwater Beach.
Here’s the deal:
1. The “player” can be any girl or boy who is 12-17 years old. They can be a middle school player, high school player, Club player, or an aspiring player who has not played organized volleyball yet. It is open to any and all girls or boys who would like to participate.
2. The “family member” who will partner with the “volleyball player” has to be someone related to the player. This can be Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, Aunt, Uncle, Cousins, etc…
There will not be age divisions. I will match teams up according to the “player” age for the pool play matches, but family members can be any age. Example…If the player has a sister who plays for Penn State, then we are all in trouble!!
3. The idea of this event is to have fun and get to know each other a little better. I will have prizes for the winners and everyone will get a t-shirt.
4. We will play at Clearwater Beach. They have 4 courts set-up permanently that we can use, along with 3 of my own nets. That gives us 7 nets to play on. If anyone else has a quality outdoor net, we can use that too. Just let me know.
I hope you are interested in participating. Please let me know if you have a team that would like to play. The more teams that we get, the more fun it will be.
